December 30, 2020, NEDRADV. The Mangazeya Group of Companies, which produces gold at deposits in the Trans-Baikal Territory, has summed up the results of its work in 2020.

According to Mikhail Gusev, General Director of the gold mining division of Mangazeya Group - Mangazeya Gold LLC, the production program of the current year is being carried out in accordance with the plan. According to preliminary results, in just nine months of the year, the subsoil user increased the production of precious metals by 28%, to 34.26 thousand ounces (1,065 kg). To produce this volume of gold, the company needed to process 1,014 thousand tonnes of ore at its facilities (+ 26%).

Currently, Mangazeya Group of Companies is developing three gold deposits - Kochkovskoye, Nasedkino and Savkinskoye. At the same time, work is being completed at the Savkinskoye deposit; since the third quarter, ore has not been mined at the facility. Despite the development of the asset, the company showed significant growth in other fields and, as a result, was able to equalize overall production indicators.

- The main event of this year was the completion of the construction of the factory and the beginning of commissioning at the Nasedkino field. Thanks to the high-quality adjustment of all technological processes, we were able to achieve a fairly good recovery from the ore - about 90%. According to our estimates, the potential of Nasedkino is up to 30 tons of gold. This asset will allow the company to operate without interruption for the next 10 years, - commented Mikhail Gusev.

At the same time, the head of Mangazeya Zoloto notes that this year the company has encountered difficulties in setting up the equipment of the factory, since this period fell on the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic - March-April 2020. In particular, since the Nasedkino GOK is mainly equipped with foreign equipment, foreign specialists could not be present during the installation supervision and commissioning of the factory. It was possible to solve this problem thanks to the remote support of foreign experts, which made it possible to carry out the necessary tests, set up and launch the equipment in operation on time.

The company also notes that in order to launch the enterprise, it was necessary to equip additional external infrastructure, namely, to reconstruct the power grids in Nasedkino. To do this, in 2020, "Mangazeya" received a state subsidy in the amount of 763 million rubles. In addition, for the launch of the Nasedkino mine, the company built a high-voltage power line and a main step-down substation with a voltage of 110/6 kW.

- Production plans for 2021 have already been formed - we expect a significant increase in production relative to 2020. This growth will be primarily driven by Nasedkino. The company plans to continue exploration work at the Nasedkino and Itakinskoye fields. Projects with great growth potential are always in the field of our attention, - noted Mikhail Gusev.
